Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia’s latest film, The Vvaan – Force of the Forrest, has continued its upward trend at the box office, recording its highest single-day collection on the first Sunday.
The fantasy thriller earned Rs 14 crore on Sunday across 7,135 shows, according to the figures provided. The film had opened with Rs 8 crore on Friday before registering a rise to Rs 11.25 crore on Saturday.
With Sunday’s collection added, The Vvaan has recorded India net earnings of Rs 33.25 crore in its first three days. Its total India gross collection stands at Rs 39.65 crore.
The film has also recorded a Rs 3.50 crore gross collection from overseas markets so far. It earned Rs 1.25 crore internationally on Sunday alone, taking its worldwide gross collection to Rs 43.15 crore.
The steady rise in daily collections has given the film a stronger start after its opening day. The Sunday performance marked an increase of more than 24 per cent from Saturday’s Rs 11.25 crore collection.
The Vvaan is directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra, known for his work on the popular series Panchayat. Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah headline the film, while Anup Soni, Sunil Grover, Shweta Tiwari and Maniesh Paul feature in supporting roles.
The film is produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor, Arunabh Kumar and Niraj Kothari. Balaji Motion Pictures, TVF Motion Pictures and 11:11 Productions are associated with the project.
With the opening weekend now complete, the film’s performance during the first weekdays will determine whether it can maintain the momentum generated by its Sunday collection.
