Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia’s next movie, The Vvaan: Force of the Forrest has got an U/A 16+ rating from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) with no cuts or alterations. The certification also precedes its hit drive-in release on September 25.
The film has garnered some interest following its certification reports asserting that the film has passed the examination without any changes in its audio and visuals. Reportedly, the producers were able to maintain their planned dialogue and also limit the film’s violence and romantic elements to satisfy certification requirements. The dialogues also were reportedly appropriate and not led the examining committee to consider modifications.
The CBFC certificate has also announced the film’s duration of 2 hours, 16 minutes and 25 seconds which is equivalent to 136.25 mins. The first half is about 1:04 and the second half is about 1:12.
The Vvaan is a folk fantasy thriller based around a mysterious and forbidden forest directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra who has also helmed the popular series Panchayat. A tale of an urban man brought up in a rational way into the woods and his encounters with the natural world. It also has a sprinkle of Indian folklore and laddo-chhath celebration.
The festive themes and songs like Chhathi Maiya, Thummak Thummak, have already attracted interest in the trailer. Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia are making their acting debut together in the movie.
Sunil Grover, Shweta Tiwari and Maniesh Paul are in the supporting cast, while aurr Anup Soni. The film is a production of Balaji Motion Pictures, produced with the help of TVF and 11:11 Productions and is scheduled to be released in theatres on 25th September 2026.
