The Schedule for NEET UG 2026 Round 3 Counselling and subsequent Stray Vacancy round has been announced by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). Candidates who did not get the final admission or did not appear in the previous counselling rounds are also able to check the counselling schedule calendar, informing them with proposed deadlines.
The Round 3 process is scheduled to start on 21 Sept 2026 with the verification of seat matrix, said the schedule. Registration and fee payment can be done from 22nd September till 27th September and candidates will be able to submit their options from 23rd September till 28th September.
The seat allotment result for Round 3 will be announced on 30th September. The allotted candidates are required to take up their on-campus seats to their respective colleges in between October 1 and 9.
NEET UG 2026 Round 3: Key Dates
The important dates for Round 3 counselling are:
- The next time the Seat Matrix will be verified is on September 21.
- Registration and Payment: September 22–27
- Choice Filling: September 23–28, up to 12 noon
- Choice Locking: September 27, 7 pm to September 28, 12 noon
- Seat Allotment Result: September 30
- Reporting to College: October 1–9
To give the candidates a chance to participate in the round, the registration, choice filling & choice locking will be completed within the stipulated time.
NEET UG 2026 Stray Vacancy Round Dates
Once Round 3 is finished, MCC will hold a stray vacancy round to fill any seats that result in an empty seat at the table. ONLINE registration & payments for this round will open on October 12.
Registration and payment is starting from 12-14 October and choice filling will take place until 15 October. Choice locking will be conducted in the period of October 14–15.
The result of the incidental allotment of seats to the vacant seats will be declared on October 17 and the allotted candidates will be called in for students’ induction into colleges between October 19 and 26.
