The Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups has now ended its stellar box office run with some waning collection after a massive opening it had. Geetu Mohandas’ directorial grossed Rs 23 crore net on Day 5 in India according to the trade tracker. The movie saw a drop of 8.5 per cent as its collection of Rs 25.15 crore on Saturday.

Toxic has grossed Rs 214.10 crore in five days to become a net earnings of Rs 214.10 crore at the Indian box office in the same period. It has a collection of around Rs 255.95 crore – gross collection in India – and Rs 285.20 crore – worldwide gross collection.

The movie is still performing well in various language versions with fluctuations in different markets. The Kannada version had an overall turnout of 52.09 per cent on Day 5, with the option outperforming in Yash’s native state.

On the same day the occupancy rate was 29.58 per cent for the Hindi version. Toxic kicked off positive and has shown strength over five days as volumes have eased slightly each day off of their opening blockbuster rates.

Geetu Mohandas directed the action thriller, starring Yash and also Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth. The film already has an India net earning cross Rs 200 crore and the performance for the next few days will be a determining factor of whether the film can keep its momentum going and make a major impact on its box office collections.
