An FIR has been registered against Indore-based influencer Prakriti Gaur after a video of her allegedly shows lying on the zebra crossing at traffic signal. The video immediately went viral on social media garnering heavy criticism.
Tukoganj police summoned Gaur to the for questioning and subsequently registered a case against her under sections 270 and 285 of the IPC and Nayashin. They also seized her mobile phone as a part of the ongoing investigation.
After realizing the video went viral, Gore subsequently released another video expressing regret over the incident. She claimed that some people who presenting her video. Adding to Gore, the incident was not intentional and that she did not violate any traffic rules while filming the video. She said that she’d be more careful while shooting in public places in the future. However, an investigation has been launched after the video circulated on social media.
The police social media monitoring cell identified that the video was uploaded on Facebook, Meta-owned Instagram on Friday. Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Rajesh Dandotiya said the viral footage appeared as a show of violation of traffic rules. He added that action can be taken against people who violate traffic rules and endanger their own lives and others in traffic.
