Ahead of the NEET PG exam on August 30, an official from the board has issued a statement on how to manage if any uncertainty prevails while the examination is underway.
According to the official, no action is needed if any disruption, such as a power failure, occurs during the examination after the candidates have logged in.
The National Board of Examination in Medical Sciences stated that the timer will stop when the failure occurs and will resume when the power returns. There will be no loss of time due to the disruption, it added.
If a candidate’s machine is locked during the examination due to the loss of connectivity with the primary server, the IT manager in each exam room will verify and unlock the candidate’s account. The timer will start at the point where the candidate had left.
In case of any system issue, such as screen flickering, mouse issues, or the system getting locked or repeatedly hanging, the candidate must immediately report it to the invigilator.
The medical board further stated that the IT manager or the invigilator will verify and unlock the candidate’s machine.
The candidate may either be shifted from the allotted seat to a buffer seat in the same or another lab during the examination, if required.
