The controversy surrounding Sai Pallavi’s choice of casting role as Sita in Ramayana is still spread across social media but the criticism has been divided between concurring with her role or not adhering to the traditional casting of the role.

A lot of people have offered their praise on her natural screen presence, acting skill, but some have suggested that perhaps she makes herself fit the description of Sita of the Hindu scriptures.

As the debate unfolds, the video of an old interview of Sai Pallavi with her comments on beauty standards, acne, and attitudes to the skin came to light, once more creating a discussion regarding them.

During the interview, Sai Pallavi candidly shared her experience of acne, rosacea, and why she decided to go ahead with her natural beauty in spite of the indoctrination of the industry.

She revealed that the concept of beauty changed her thoughts following her audience’s feedback since they endorsed her as a confident personality rather than based on appearances.

“Self-confidence was the real beauty; when people accepted me the way I was with acne (rosacea) I learnt that,” Sai Pallavi had said.

The rehash of the conversation over the re-interview has brought her claim of valueing acting skills over looks to the fore on the internet and has found fans of her stance, with others arguing her ability to enunciate and speak fluently theoretically makes her an ideal Sita.
