Responding to the announcement by US President, Israeli officials refuked the disarmament plan did not meet their demands for Gaza demilitarisation. However, Hamas confirming the deal warned that if Israel did not implement deal, “neither will we”.

Donald Trump has claimed his Board of Peace has reached an “historic agreement for the complete disarmament of Hamas and all other armed groups in Gaza”. A 20 pointer truce agreement mediated by Egypt and Qatar was compiled to end the war in Gaza.

Taking to his handle on Truth Social, he wrote- This agreement is a critical step towards Gaza finally being governed by a new Palestinian government that will work closely with the Board of Peace to help the Palestinian people. At the same time, Israel will have the security it deserves, with Gaza no longer used as a base for terror attacks.

Trump who heads the international group including more than 20 countries, said the agreement “will be carried out in carefully structured phases”.

“As disarmament is completed, Israeli forces will withdraw, and the International Stabilization Force will work with a new Palestinian police force to take responsibility for Gaza being safe for its residents and its neighbors, he said,”

He further asserted that the threat which emerged from Gaza on October 7 will NOT be allowed to rebuild.

Earlier this year, the Board of Peace announced to oversee the restoration of Gaza after a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas in October 2025.
