CJP claims Centre agreed to talks, says JP Nadda to meet party leaders ahead of Parliament march

The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) on Monday claimed that the Centre has agreed to hold talks with its representatives ahead of the outfit’s planned ‘Sansad Chalo’ march to Parliament. The CJP chief spokesperson Saurav Das said he and fellow spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka were on their way to meet Union Minister J.P. Nadda after the government reached out to the party.

In a post on X, Das claimed the government had contacted the party on Monday morning and invited its representatives for discussions. “It’s 11:52 AM. Ashutosh Ranka and I, on behalf of the Cockroach Janta Party, are on our way to meet J.P. Nadda. The government had reached out for talks in the morning. Our demands are clear. The youth has gathered in huge numbers,” Das wrote.

The claim comes just ahead of the CJP’s scheduled march to Parliament.

Protesters participating in the march said their agitation was aimed at ensuring accountability and was not directed against the Centre or any particular political party. “We do not have a problem with Prime Minister Narendra Modi or anyone else. This is about accountability,” one protester told India Today TV.

Another participant said, “This is not about any political party. It is about what is right and what is wrong. It’s as simple as that.”

The Centre has not yet officially confirmed the CJP’s claim regarding the proposed meeting with Union Minister J.P. Nadda.
