The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has officially issued a recruitment advertisement for the job of its inaugural Chief Executive Officer (CEO) following the three-member committee’s formation to look after the selection process. The move has come in the wake of the controversy in which the temple allegedly embezzled donations.
In a notification that was posted on social media, it has been noted that applications will be accepted till 4 pm on July 18. The CEO will hold office on a contract basis, with an initial contract for three years and thereafter can be renewed upon a satisfactory performance.
The requirement of the eligibility is holding the Higher Education institution’s bachelor’s degree with at least 10 years of professional experience, aged between 50 and 70 years old. Candidates are also required to have a minimum of 20 years of managerial experience in any government department, public institutions, large organization, or company.
The trust stated preference would be given to those candidates with experience in administration, finance, accounts, human resources, public relations, information technology, security and legal affairs. Hindi & English knowledge now compulsory.
Besides, the candidate must be a practising Hindu; devotees of Lord Ram belonging to the Vaishnava tradition will be given preference. Retired officers fulfilling the eligibility conditions can also apply.
The trust also said that people with experience of being the Chief Administrative Officers would be given extra preference or those who have worked in the temple or Hindu religious institution will be given extra preference.
With allegations of mismanagement in relation to the donations, the appointment, which is part of a major administrative overhaul, is a step towards enhancing governance and transparency in the Ram Temple Trust.
