The fresh angle in the ongoing enquiry against the firing and vandalism outside the coaching institute of Patna Educator Faisal Khan has been provided by the DSP. The DSP added a fresh tang to the story of the shooting and vandalism which took place outside the coaching institute of educator Faisal Khan in Patna. After looking through the surveillance video footage that allegedly reveals aerial firing of weapons in the disturbance, Police have, on their own, filed an FIR against Khan Sir and two of his staff members, and also arrested two security guards from the institute.

Officials say the incident occurred late on the night of June 2 in the Khan Global Studies Institute. Some were allegedly involved in a stone-throwing attack, sparking a panic among the crowd, and in this knock-down, they damaged the property. They caused a panic in the area by alleged stone throwing and in this incident, they damaged the premises. The incident became a trending topic because Khan Sir was hugely popular and many students belonged to the institute.

Police allegedly took video footage from the scene at the time of the investigation. Police said video indicated two people shooting into the air after the vandalism took place. After verifying the recordings, police seized the people as security guards of the coaching institute.

The FIR was registered as part of the investigation, officials said, adding that various threads would follow to try to establish the sequence of events that led to the violence. It’s no longer just allegations of vandalism and property damage that are being investigated in the case, as it now turns to the circumstances of the alleged shooting that has been picked up on camera.

Other matters are now under investigation and examination by Police, police officials have said. The police will review CCTV footage, witness accounts and computer aided data to try and work out who was responsible for the incident and if anyone else was involved.

It’s a substantial development in a case that began with strikes at the coaching institute and now expanded to cover some of those deemed to be linked to it.
