A woman from Rajasthan’s Jodhpur, who recently went viral on social media for her remarks about women’s clothing, was hospitalised after allegedly consuming poison during an Instagram Live session on Wednesday. Anita Dinram Bishnoi, 32, was rushed to the hospital, where she is reported to be critical. She said she had come to realize she would receive regular online trolls and harassers over her comments online.

This took place at around 11:30 am at Godaron Ki Dhani in the Shikargarh area of Balaji Farm House, Jodhpur, according to the reports. After that, Bishnoi was rushed to Mathuradas Mathur (MDM) Hospital, where doctors have been keeping an eye on her.

Recently, Bishnoi cornered the limelight over social media for criticising women who preferred to wear ‘short’ or ‘revealing’ clothes. The video made it all the way to the viral hall of fame, garnered much reaction from social media followers, and was subject to much criticism and trolling.

She had posted a number of things on social media before the alleged poisoning incident, stating that she had been the victim of an ongoing harassment and/or abuse campaign online for content.

Bishnoi, in about 90 seconds, made a video attack where she pointed out six men and two women for attacking her and ruining her reputation. She also shared information on a land issue they are dealing with and said that she had gotten into a physical fight with two women over the issue.

Bishnoi also alleged that she had been threatened by some people. Some individuals allegedly threatened to defame her and hurt her public image; others allegedly warned her that she might find herself in a hit-and-run accident, she says.
