Bhubaneswar: Odisha is once again poised to bring glory to the country in the international sports arena. At the Asian Athletics Council meeting in Hong Kong, a significant decision was made: Odisha will be awarded the hosting rights for the 2027 Asian Indoor Athletics Championships.
In further good news, Chandigarh has been awarded the 2028 Asian Relays. Expressing his delight at this remarkable achievement, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi congratulated the Indian athletics team. He became emotional, stating that this is a moment of immense pride for all of India, and for Odisha in particular. The Chief Minister further stated that the awarding of this major tournament further strengthens Odisha’s reputation as a hub for sporting events worldwide.
Truly, this is another shining jewel in Odisha’s crown of success. However, Odisha’s brilliance doesn’t end there. The state has already been awarded the responsibility to host the 2028 World Athletics Indoor Championships, the thrill of which will be witnessed at the magnificent Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar.
