Mohla-Manpur-Ambagadh: A truck loaded with tendu leaves burned to ashes in Keshla village, Mohla. Tendu leaves worth lakhs of rupees and the truck were destroyed in the accident. Six people, including the driver, were aboard the vehicle. They saved their lives by jumping out. Gotatola Police Station in-charge, Inspector Khoman Bhandari, confirmed the incident.

According to reports, a Swaraj Mazda vehicle carrying sacks of tendu leaves from the tendu leaf depot in Adamagondi village was heading to Dongargaon late Saturday night. Meanwhile, in Keshala village, the vehicle came into contact with a high-tension power line. The wires collided, causing a spark that suddenly ignited the tendu leaf sacks. Within moments, the vehicle, along with the tendu leaves, caught fire.

The driver pulled the burning vehicle out of the settlement and parked it somewhere. An attempt was made to save the vehicle by sprinkling water on it. However, before the fire could be brought under control, most of the vehicle, including tendu leaves worth lakhs of rupees, was reduced to ashes.
