Pune: In a recent development of the NEET UG Paper Leak 2026- Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) on Wednesday sealed RCC Coaching Classes, which is owned by Shivraj Motegaonkar. Shivraj Motegaonkar- was arrested by the CBI last week in connection with the alleged examination paper leak. Civic authorities reportedly demolished the Deccan branch of the coaching institute in Pune.
Meanwhile, a Delhi court on Wednesday sent five accused in the NEET paper leak case to judicial custody till June 2 and extended the CBI custody of one accused. Special Judge Ajay Gupta allowed the agency’s plea seeking judicial custody till June 2 of five accused persons — Mangilal Khatik, Vikas Biwal, Dinesh Biwal, Yash Yadav and Dhananjay Lokhande.
Earlier this week, the CBI granted nine days custody of Shivraj Raghunath Motegaonkar to the CBI. However, the agency had requested 10 days of custody, alleging he played an active role in leaking the chemistry question paper. According to the CBI, he allegedly distributed copies of the leaked examination paper to students as part of a larger conspiracy.
Granting custody, the court approved the investigators demand to identify other accused individuals allegedly involved in the case. Communication records, digital evidence and financial trail connected to the paper leak operation.
“The inestigation is at its very initial and crucial stage, therefore, keeping in view all the detailed facts and circumstances discussed above and the prayer made in the present application (for police custody remand), the present application is allowed and accused Shivraj Raghunath Motegoankar is remanded to police custody for 9 days, subject to his medical examination,” the court ordered.
The accused is scheduled to be produced before the court again on May 26.
