New Delhi : As Re-evaluation of Class 12 began today, students reported to face difficulties with the board’s re-evaluation portal adding to the distress. As said by the CBSE the re-evaluation window opened for students to submit re-evaluation applications. Students took to social media to complain about the issues while trying to log-in or use the portal.
Several candidates claimed the website is currently unresponsive. Upon clicking the re-evaluation tab on the official website, students are being directed to a blank page with no service available. Few others have also reported they are not able to log into the official portal.
In a social media post on X yesterday the board said that the re-evaluation mechanism provides students with a transparent and structured process to review their evaluated answer books. It added that the portal ensures that students have access to their scanned copies before initiating any request for verification or re-assessmen
A student taking to X said, he was not able to log in because the CAPTCHA code was not visible. Besides, a student also reported of being directed to the previous years re-evaluation portal on clicking the tab. After repeated attempts, he was notified by a pop up that the photocopy window was currently closed.
How is the re-evaluation done?
Step1: Verification of Marks
Totaling mistakes, unchecked answers and errors in transferring marks and data entry issues are addressed first.
Step 2: Photocopy of Evaluated Answer Sheet
Students can then apply for a scanned photocopy of their answer sheet which will allow them to access their answer booklets to look for missed questions and marks and whether re-evaluation is necessary.
Step 3: Re-evaluation of Answers
Finally, the students can request for evaluation of specific questions. If any discrepancy surfaces, extra marks will be awarded.
The CBSE, this year stated that whose marks increase after re-evaluation will get a full refund of the re-evaluation fee. The board has also reduced fees for several post-result services following concerns about the On-Screen Marking (OSM) system.
