Unnao. A horrific accident occurred on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway in Raghurampur, Bangarmau Kotwali area. A double-decker bus collided with a container. Twenty-two people were injured in the accident. All of them were passengers on the Intercity Express bus. It is being reported that the driver dozed off and the bus collided with the container, causing the accident.
According to reports, there were 40 passengers on board the bus at the time of the accident. The driver, Manjeet Kumar, was traveling from Delhi to Azamgarh with approximately 40 passengers. Around 6 a.m., while trying to overtake a trailer in the heavy vehicle lane, the bus lost control and slammed into the trailer. The impact was so severe that the front of the bus was severely damaged.

Passengers Seriously Injured
The injured passengers were taken to the Bangarmau Community Health Center. After first aid, 10 were discharged, while six seriously injured were referred to the district hospital. Treatment for the remaining injured is ongoing. According to the police, the crashed bus has been removed and parked at the Bangarmau toll plaza, where traffic has been restored.
