Gujarat Titans and Kolkata Knight riders to lock horns today. It remains to see which team will make it to the play offs.

Meanwhile on Friday, Lucknow Super Giants defeated Chennai Super Kings denting its playoff chance at the Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow, LSG won by seven wickets with 20 balls to spare.

Mitchell Marsh’s boundary-laden 90 off 38 balls with nine fours and seven sixes ensured LSG reached home in the 188-run chase without breaking a sweat.
Earlier, pacer Akash Singh returned with figures of 3 for 26 before Kartik Sharma’s brilliant batting helped Chennai post a competitive total of 187 for 5.

Akash Singh dismissed Ruturaj Gaikwad, Sanju Samson and Urvil Patel to dent CSK’s start. Kartik Sharma then stitched a 70-run stand with Dewald Brevis to take CSK towards a safe path. Spencer Johnson in the 14th over castled Samad for 7 off 3 balls. His CSK debut recorded 4-0-39-1.

Earlier this week in Chennai, LSG zoomed to 91 for 1 in the powerplay against CSK. Now in Lucknow, they have hit 86 for 0 in the six overs, with Marsh responsible for 56 of those runs. Marsh’s blitz threatens to turn a tricky chase into a cruise.
