Fuel Crisis Grips Raipur and Other Cities as Petrol Pumps Run Dry
Fuel scarcity has brought life to a standstill in various parts of the state, including its capital city, Raipur, where the issue became serious enough for around 10 HP and IOCL petrol pump stations to remain devoid of fuel supplies as scheduled.
The situation caused a lot of panic among passengers, resulting in:
Traffic Congestion: Long lines of automobiles could be seen waiting in queues at those stations that remained open late into the night.
Areas Affected: Some of the areas severely hit included Sarona, Bhatagaon, Vidhansabha Road, Devendra Nagar, and Jaistambh Chowk.
The situation has led to a controversy involving political parties as well. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) members have come out openly stating that the closure of certain fuel pumps was because of the fear of increase in prices. An official complaint has been filed with the District Collector against the accused.
