New Delhi: Indian airline carrier Indigo issued travel advisory warning its passengers of possible flight disruptions after the UAEs Defence Ministry closed its airspace temporarily.
The carrier said its schedules may change due to the regional tension. It has requested its passengers to update their contact details in order to receive timely updates.
“Due to the evolving situation in the Middle East, there may be changes to flight schedules. Customers are advised to check their flight status before leaving for the airport. To keep you informed, timely updates are being sent on your contact details, shared during booking. Should you need any assistance, our support teams remain readily available to help. Your safety and well-being continue to guide every decision we make, and we are in constant communication with the relevant authorities to ensure safe operations,” the airline tweeted.
The advisory comes in view of renewed tensions in the Middle East following Iran’s attack on UAE. Qatar and UAE closed their airspaces briefly, while Bahrain declared a state of emergency. Oman also reported an attack on a civilian infrastructure.
Meanwhile, global leaders condemned missile attacks and drone strikes on the UAE expressing solidarity with Abu Dhabi. The leaders urged restraint and renewed diplomatic efforts to stabilize the escalating regional crisis, as tensions continue to rise following the alleged attacks.
