Counting of votes is underway for the 140-seat Kerala Assembly elections (Kerala Vidhan Sabha Chunav Result Live). Trends show a significant lead for the Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF). By 5:30 pm, results for 117 seats had been declared, according to the Election Commission of India’s website. The ruling Left Democratic Front (LDF) faced defeat in this election.

It is noteworthy that a total of 883 candidates contested for the 140 seats in the state. The majority mark here is 71. Vote counting is taking place today at 140 counting centers in 43 locations. This time, the Kerala Assembly elections are a direct contest between the Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) and the two-term incumbent Left Democratic Front (LDF).
