Apple’s new CEO, John Ternus, has been named the new CEO of the tech giant. Apple’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Tim Cook, will resign after 15 years. The company has appointed John Ternus as its new CEO. Cook will hand over the CEO role to John Ternus on September 1, 2026. After this, Cook will remain with Apple as Executive Chairman.

Tim Cook joined Apple in 1998 and became CEO in 2011. He succeeded Steve Jobs at the helm and led Apple to new heights. Under his leadership, Apple’s market value has grown from $350 billion (approximately ₹32 lakh crore) to $4 trillion (approximately ₹350 lakh crore).

This change at Apple is considered extremely significant. For years, there had been speculation that Tim Cook might step down as CEO. Finally, it’s confirmed. Cook has led the company since 2011, when Steve Jobs stepped down due to health reasons. The 65-year-old will hand over the CEO role to John Turner on September 1st. After that, he will remain with Apple as executive chairman.

Steve Jobs hired Tim Cook to steer Apple’s operations team in a new direction. Tim Cook wasn’t considered the visionary tech giant that Steve Jobs was. However, he leveraged the iPhone and other technological innovations created by Jobs, taking Apple to new heights.
