At approximately 6:00 AM IST on March 31, affected staff across India received an email from “Oracle Leadership.” The message was brief and final, informing employees that their roles had been eliminated as part of a “broader organizational change” and that their termination was effective immediately.
Many employees reported that access to internal systems and production servers was revoked within minutes of the notification. The sudden nature of the move left thousands in shock, with social media platforms like LinkedIn and Reddit quickly filling with stories from long-tenured engineers and managers who found themselves locked out before their workday even began.
