The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has given a yellow warning of part of north India such as Delhi-NCR, indicating that there would be light rainfall, thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds. An active western disturbance in the area of north Iran and the Caspian Sea, as well as cyclonic circulations in the area of northwest Rajasthan, are causing the changing weather conditions.

The IMD predicts that clouds will cover the sky in Delhi on Monday and it will have light rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning. Strong winds would also be experienced in many areas around the national capital such as North, West, South-West, North-East, and Central Delhi.

The weather office has singled out Bawana, Kanjhawala, Mundaka, Jafarpur, Najafgarh, Dwarka, and IGI Airport zone as the likely areas that would receive light rainfall during the evening. The neighbouring areas of the National Capital Region such as Bahadurgarh, Gurugram and Manesar will also get the same weather activity.

Delhi temperatures are predicted to be moderate, with the maximum temperature around 32 °C to 34 °C, and the minimum temperature at 20 °C.

Going forward, there is another western distress that is likely to affect the region towards April 2 that might cause additional light rain on April 3 and 4. The IMD has recommended its residents to be vigilant when there are thunderstorms and follow official weather warnings because the weather can shift quickly.
