Chandigarh . A steady stream of emails threatening bombings are pouring into Punjab, raising panic among the public. Schools and colleges, hospitals, and now the courts and secretariat are being targeted. Meanwhile, significant news is emerging that the Punjab Chief Minister’s Office and the Chandigarh District Court are also being threatened with bombings.
A threatening email was received in Punjab on Thursday, putting police and security agencies on high alert. A search operation was launched in the Punjab Secretariat and court premises, with dog and bomb squads deployed. The threat stated that an explosion would occur at the Chief Minister’s office at 2:11 pm and at the Chandigarh court at 3:11 pm, although this has not yet been officially confirmed.
