Recently new guidelines have been given by the Union ministry of home affairs on the rendition of the national song in the form of the national song Vande Mataram, in which it is required that all the six stanzas be sung in full respect and that it is played in the presence of the national anthem, Jana Gana Mana, during official functions. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has welcomed the decision calling it a moment of pride to the country.

In response to the announcement, Dr. Yadav responded that his heart was full of pride after receiving the news about the new guidelines. According to him, the decision not only honors the eternal work of Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay, but also evokes memories of the spirit of patriotism and sacrifice that patriot fighters had to sacrifice their lives to make India a free country.

Addressing the people as the heartbeat of the nation, it is clear that calling the song Vande Mataram is a song of the ultimate sense of devotion to the motherland, and as the Chief Minister stated, it is the national unity. He has stressed that it is a reminder to citizens of their collective duty to serve and make the nation stronger. It is a holy manifestation of our love to Bharat Mata and a potent symbol of unity, he said, and asked people to rejuvenate their loyalty to national service by the song.

Dr. Yadav also promised that Madhya Pradesh would see to it that the directive of the Centre was adhered to at full and therefore promptly. According to the new rules, all six stanzas of the song will be compulsory in any government activities, educational institutions and official ceremonies, and the audience must stand as a sign of honor.
