Gwalior. Following the deaths due to contaminated water in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, the Gwalior Municipal Corporation has now become active. Numerous complaints of dirty water are pouring in from various areas of Gwalior. When the problem remains unresolved, the people of Gwalior have even complained to the Chief Minister’s helpline.

Since January 1st, the CM Helpline has received approximately 140 complaints about contaminated water. Municipal Corporation Commissioner Sanghpriya Singh said that they have set up a control room. The problem of contaminated water has been resolved in 124 locations with complaints received through the CM Helpline.

Gwalior Municipal Corporation in Action: 1200 tube wells cleaned

Work is still underway on 16. Complaints of contaminated water are being received from old or cracked sewer and drinking water lines at 56 locations. All these 56 lines will be replaced. 1200 out of 2600 tube wells have been cleaned, and the remaining ones are being cleaned. Water tanks are also being cleaned. Areas where there is a problem of dirty water are being identified. By making a plan for them, the problem will be solved as soon as possible.
