Bastar: Significant news has emerged from the Naxalite front. Barse Deva, the commander of the Maoist organization’s Battalion No. 1, is planning to surrender in Telangana. It is reported that approximately 40 Maoists, along with Barse Deva, have arrived in Telangana from the National Park area with the intention of surrendering.
Sources say that all Maoists, including Barse Deva, will surrender before the Telangana Director General of Police. Telangana police are expected to formally produce Barse Deva and other Maoists in the next day or two.
This news of surrender is being considered a big success towards the resolution of the Central and State Government, under which the target has been set to eliminate Naxalism from the entire country by March 2026.
