Mumbai: CRPF Inspector Biplab Vishwas, a resident of Doranda in Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand, has created history by winning the prize money of Rs 1 crore on “Kaun Banega Crorepati.” He is the first CRPF officer to do so. He explained that his 15 years of hard work, struggle, and his father’s advice are behind this. The episode in which he won Rs 1 crore will be telecast on Sony TV on December 30-31, 2025.

CRPF officer (Inspector) Biplab Vishwas, who won the prize money of Rs 1 crore, is posted in Bijapur, Chhattisgarh, in the Naxal operation. After duty, whenever he got spare time, he used to watch the episodes of “Kaun Banega Crorepati” and solve the questions asked in it.

Originally from West Bengal, Biplab Biswas’s entire family lives in the Doranda area of ​​Ranchi. Biplab Biswas suddenly became emotional while remembering his family. He shared that both his wife and father passed away in 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic. Union Minister of State for Defense Sanjay Seth, senior CRPF officials, and several public representatives from the capital, Ranchi, congratulated him on his achievement.

In addition to the cash prize of ₹1 crore, the CRPF officer received a Maruti Suzuki Victoria (top model), an e-bike, a gold coin, and a gift voucher worth ₹50,000 from Dr. Fixit. By culminating nearly 15 years of hard work in the disciplined service of the CRPF, Biplab Biswas has become a source of inspiration for millions of youth.
