Actor Allu Arjun and his security team have been named among 23 accused in the charge sheet filed in connection with the stampede during the premiere of Pushpa 2 at Chikkadpally in Hyderabad, in December 2024.
The 100-page document names 23 accused, including the film’s lead star Allu Arjun, the theatre management and security personnel, holding organisers responsible for lapses in crowd control during the high-profile event. Allu Arjun has been named as Accused No. 11 (A-11) in the case.
The chargesheet was filed by the Chikkadpally Police and pertains to the stampede that took place on December 4, 2024, at the iconic Sandhya Theatre in RTC X Roads, Hyderabad. According to the police, a sudden surge of an overwhelmingly large crowd during the film’s premiere led to chaos, resulting in the tragic incident.
Among the 23 individuals named as accused in the case, theatre owners and management have been listed as the primary accused, with investigators pointing to serious shortcomings in planning and crowd management. Security personnel and event-related staff have also been included in the chargesheet.
