The Al-Falah University case gained momentum when the investigation into the November 10 car bomb blast near Delhi’s Red Fort reached the university. A major revelation has been made regarding Al Falah University in Faridabad, Haryana. The ED investigation has revealed that the university received prior information about the approval or cancellation of PG seats. Inspection dates were set in advance.
During inspections, fake doctors and fake patients were shown on documents. Information related to this has been sent to the National Medical Commission (NMC), Delhi Police, the Income Tax Department, and other agencies. This case is also considered important in the investigation of the terrorist attack in Delhi. In addition to the suicide bomber Umar Nabi, who was an assistant professor at Al Falah University, the arrested accused Muzammil also had connections with the university.
The investigation revealed that information regarding approval or cancellation of PG seats was received in advance. Inspection dates were pre-arranged. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) investigation has uncovered evidence indicating that the inspection and permission process related to the National Medical Commission was managed fraudulently.
ED’s investigation has also revealed financial irregularities through related party transactions. The work of construction of medical college and hospital was given to Karkun Construction & Developers, in which Jawad Ahmed Siddiqui’s son Afham Ahmed Siddiqui has 49% stake, daughter Aafia Siddiqui has 49% stake, 2% is in the name of an employee. The contract for catering of the hostel was given to Amla Enterprises LLP, in which wife Usma Akhtar has 49% stake, son Afham Ahmed has 49% stake. Apart from this, Star Foods, the firm of the accused’s brother, has also been supplying to the university.
