Hanoi: All that glimmer is indeed gold at one of  Vietnam’s newest hotels. The all-new gilded Dolce Hanoi Golden Lake has opened its doors to guests even amid the pandemic, and the gold service includes coffee in a and a bath is taken in gilded splendor for their guests.

The world’s first self-proclaimed gold- plated hotel built at a cost of $200 million dollars, is open for business and the Vietnamese owner insist they have the Midas touch despite the cramping of global travel during the coronavirus pandemic.

A five-star hotel in Vietnamese capital Hanoi has opened with a twist that it hopes will attract guests with intimately expensive tastes: gold-plated bathtubs, basins and even toilets, all housed behind a massive golden exterior.

Starting from $250 (Rs18,600), a room at the gold-plated hotel comes for less than most big-city luxury hotels in India.

The hotel wants “ordinary people to the super rich to check-in” both physically and on social media, said Nguyen Huu Duong, chairman of Hoa Binh group that owns the hotel.

A gold-plated infinity pool overlooks the city while meals at the 25-storey hotel in downtown Hanoi may be mixed with a mysterious ‘gold substance’, according to the owner.
