US President Joe Biden to Propose ‘Family Plan’ in Speech to Congress

Washington: Marking his first 100 days in office, US President Joe Biden on Wednesday, will lay out a sweeping family plan in his first joint address to Congress. Two years of free community college, $225 billion for child care and monthly payments of at least $250 to parents are included in the proposal. The Biden administration thinks that such a plan would fundamentally transform the role government plays in American life.

The ideas of Joe Biden reflect the frailties that were uncovered last year by Covid-19. His speech will also provide the latest update on progress in combating the pandemic and relief checks delivered to help offset the devastation caused by a deadly virus that has killed a huge number of people in the US.
