The US President Donald Trump announced a wide-ranging and tough series of immigration plans on Thursday, and he posted a strongly-worded message that immediately led to a nationwide discussion. Trump said in his declaration that the United States would permanently suspend migration of all the Third World Countries and commence what he described as reverse migration, mass movement to re-migrate some groups of migrants in their home countries. This according to him was needed because it was to restore order and give the country time to recover fully because he considers the years of misconstrued immigration policies.
Trump asserted that America had become weak despite the significant improvement in the field of technology because of irresponsible and careless immigration policies. He had promised to end millions of what he referred to as Biden illegal admissions, stating that most of them had been granted under President Joe Biden through what he termed as Autopen authority. He also vowed to deport any person he deemed not a net asset to the United States or one who could not love our Country.
One of the most debatable concepts was the idea of Trump to stop any federal benefits to non-citizens, a step that would dishearten illegal immigration and cut down on the taxpayer costs. He also suggested that migrants who in his opinion are a source of domestic peace, as well as deporting any foreigner that he spots as a public charge, a source of security or incompatible with Western Civilization should be denaturalized.
Trump demanded that there was only one answer to what he termed as illegal and destabilizing population growth; reverse migration. His rhetoric was a mixture of policy assertions and belligerent rhetoric, which attracted support amongst his followers and disparagement among critics who considered the proposals radical and discriminatory.
He concluded:
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone, except you folks who hate, rob, kill and ruin everything that America represents. You won’t be here for long!”
