The U.S. President Donald Trump has sparked debate once again as he referred to Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg, as a troublemaker and said that she has an anger management problem. His remarks were after Thunberg and other activists were expelled in Israel after seeking to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza.

“She is just a troublemaker. You see she is no longer interested in the environment now she is a trouble maker. Her anger management issue is problematic. I believe that she needs to visit the doctor,” Trump said in a video that the White House rapid response published. The previous president proceeded to call Thunberg angry and crazy by saying that she needs assistance and not attention.

The comments were made after Greta Thunberg, and other campaigners, had taken on the Global Sumud Flotilla, a humanitarian ship, meant to breach the blockade imposed on Gaza by Israel so that aid could be given to those civilians already involved in the current dispute. Though, Israeli officials stopped the activists and deported them on their way to the destination.

Upon her deportation, Thunberg and her group landed in Greece, where she held a press conference, where she was disappointed by what Israel did and that the world failed to do anything about it. She talked of the flotilla as the biggest ever effort to overcome the illegal and inhuman siege of Israel by sea.

Thunberg also criticized the world governments, claiming that, It is a shame that this mission has to exist. Even the governments are not even performing the bare minimum. Gaza genocide should come to an end.

Activists and human rights organizations have criticized Trump saying that he has mocked a young humanitarian voice. In the meantime, Thunberg does not change her position and calls on the international community to pressure to reduce the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
