Donald Trump made a big news regarding the current one taking place between the United States and Iran, stating that both nations have been negotiating directly with each other throughout the last two days. Trump termed the talks as very good and productive, which is why the talks might lead to a bigger and higher level of hostilities resolution in the Middle East.

Trump in a post to his social media platform said that the discussions were in-depth, detailed and constructive and centered on the prospects of reaching a full-scale and total solution to the conflict. Although he did not reveal particularities of the talks, he stated that the negotiations are supposed to proceed all through the week.

To build confidence, Trump declared that the United States has been willing to suspend all the scheduled military attacks on the Iran energy infrastructure, over a period of five days. According to him, the decision was made on the basis of the positive tone of the ongoing discussions and was open to further advancements in the negotiations.

The break is regarded as an important measure towards defusing the situation following weeks of severe military dialogue between the two countries. Analysts feel that the temporary delay of the attacks would give room to the diplomatic work and less tension in the region.

There has been some apprehensive optimism among the world actors considering that the development has seen a keen interest by the stakeholders whether the sustained dialogue between Washington and Tehran will result in a lasting cease fire or even an expanded peace settlement.
