Russia: The war crisis that started in February this year between Russia and Ukraine does not seem to end soon. It is only worsening with each passing day. A recent claim by the UN suggests that so far around 18,000 civilians have lost their lives due to the crisis. While the entire world blames Russia for the crisis, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov claimed that America is responsible for the war. He claimed that the US wants to get economic benefits out of it so they are provoking Ukraine and providing them the required support.
On the other hand, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy proposed a 10-point peace plan which has been rejected by the government of the Russian Federation Kremlin. The spokesman of the Kremlin, Dmitry Peskov said: “There can be no peace plan for Ukraine that does not take into account today’s realities regarding Russian territory, with the entry of four regions into Russia. Plans that do not take these realities into account cannot be peaceful.”
Notably, Russia on Tuesday issued a decree banning oil sales to countries and companies that support Western price caps in response to Moscow’s attacks on Ukraine. Supplies of Russian oil and oil products to foreign entities and individuals are prohibited if contracts for these supplies are directly or indirectly using price caps, the order issued by the president’s office said. This order will be effective from February 1 to July 1 next year. No wonder more civilians are going to suffer in the coming days if the war doesn’t stop soon.
