Overnight into Thursday, drone and missile attacks launched by Russia resulted in one rescue worker’s death and injuries to several others across Ukraine, according to officials. Authorities reported damage to a synagogue in Kyiv and temporary train disruptions in eastern areas.
Despite regional damage, the Ukrainian Air Force stated that during the attack, Russia fired an estimated 130 drones, bringing air raid alarms and explosions to Kyiv and other regions.
In Zelenyi Gai, a village in Kharkiv, one rescuer died, and five more were injured while fighting a fire that followed a second attack. Kyiv officials reported eight injuries and the foreign ministry confirmed damage to a synagogue in Kyiv targeted districts, calling it another act of “Russian terror.”
Over 640 religious sites and 67 religious figures have been impacted since the Russians began their full-scale invasion in February 2022, reports indicate. Two railway workers were injured in Sumy, and temporary service disruptions disrupted train operations.
