Russia: The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) announced on Monday that its agents had arrested an Islamic State suicide bomber who was planning a terrorist attack against a member of India’s ruling elite. According to the FSB statement, one of the IS leaders in Turkey recruited the arrested bomber to carry out the suicide bombings.

Russia’s FSB said in a statement that it has “identified and captured a member of the Islamic State international terrorist group from a Central Asian nation who wanted to execute a terrorist act by blowing himself up against one of the representatives of India’s ruling circles.”

The Home Ministry claims that IS spreads its ideas through a variety of online social media channels. The relevant agencies are closely monitoring cyberspace in this regard, and appropriate legal action will be taken. The Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act prohibits the dreaded terrorist organisation ISIS and all of its associate groups from operating in India. They are responsible for a number of brutal attacks and murders in Iraq and Syria.

In the meantime, on Sunday, the Jammu and Kashmir police stopped a significant terrorist attack by finding an improvised explosive device (IED) in the Pulwama district that weighed between 10-12 KG. Security officers located the IED in the Tral neighbourhood of Beihgund in the south Kashmir district.
