Islamabad, Pakistan: The assassination bid against former Pak PM Imran Khan has invoked protests in several sections of the society in the country. Many supporters from the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf group have demanded action against the culprits and have been protesting since then! They have asked the government to take strict action against the attackers and register an FIR as well. The PTI protesters have vowed that they will continue their protests until the action is taken and an FIR is registered. The protest has erupted since the former Pak PM got shot in his leg in an assassination attack during his speech on November 3.
He was hospitalized with an injury but he has recovered and addressed the media on Sunday that he will resume his long march on Tuesday towards Islamabad from the point where he was attacked. He said, “We have decided that our march will resume on Tuesday from the same [point] in Wazirabad where I and 11 others were shot, and where Moazzam was martyred.” He further added, “I will address the march from here (in Lahore), and our march, within the next 10 to 14 days, depending on the speed, will reach Rawalpindi.”
The 70-year-old former Cricketer and Prime Minister of Pakistan lost his position as a PM after a vote of confidence went against him in April this year. He has been under attack since he started his allegations against the current government and also warned ISI to reveal their secrets. He sustained bullet injuries in the last attack that he survived. The PTI supporters have been protesting since then!
