Putin India Visit: Russian President Vladimir Putin will arrive in India for a two-day visit. President Putin will be visiting India on December 4 and 5. The Russian President will land at Delhi’s IGI Airport between 6 and 7 pm today. He will be accompanied by seven ministers, Russian Central Bank chief Elvira Nabiullina and top business leaders like Igor Sechin. Putin will also attend the 23rd India-Russia Annual Summit.
Several important agreements, including those on defense, energy, trade and technology, are expected to be signed during this visit. Putin will also participate in the launch of the new TV channel RT India. There will also be a royal dinner.
Delhi and Moscow are expected to sign a number of deals during the visit, which comes months after the US increased pressure on India to stop buying Russian oil. It also comes at the time when US President Donald Trump’s administration holds a series of talks with Russia and Ukraine in an attempt to end the war.
President Putin’s Arrival in India
President Putin is expected to arrive in Delhi around 7 p.m. Following his arrival, Prime Minister Modi will host a private dinner in his honor at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg. This visit also marks the 25th anniversary of the strategic partnership between India and Russia. Putin previously visited India in 2022.
The primary objective of Putin’s visit is to further strengthen the India-Russia strategic and economic partnership, especially at a time when India-US relations are rapidly deteriorating. This evening, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will host a private dinner in his honor, while Friday will be the most important day, when the two countries will hold summit talks.
