Today marks the start of his exciting journey, as he is all set to grace the Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney with his presence. Upon his arrival, the Prime Minister was greeted by a plethora of Australian influencers, who were eagerly waiting to welcome him to their beautiful country. He arrived at Sydney yesterday and this visit will mark an end to the three nation visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Community event which will be taking place in Sydney is scheduled to begin soon. The Prime Minister also tweeted about the event and thanked the Sydney community.
The Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea touched Narendra Modi’s feet when he arrived at the island country. Narendra Modi also revealed in the meetings why an island country like Papua New Guinea is important.
The Prime Minister said that, “Those we considered trustworthy, it turned out they were not standing by our side in times of need. During these challenging times, an old saying has proven true: ‘A Friend in need is a friend indeed’. I am glad that India stood with its Pacific island friends during this challenging time [the Covid pandemic]. Whether it was vaccines or essential medicines, wheat or sugar; India, in line with its capabilities, has been assisting all partner countries.”
