Pakistan continued to violate the ceasefire for the fourth straight day amid tensions on the Line of Control (LoC). Fresh ceasefire violations were reported overnight in the Nowgam and Uri sectors along the Line of Control. The Indian Army issued a statement, saying, “On the night of 26-27 April 2025, Pakistan Army posts initiated unprovoked small arms fire across the Line of Control in the areas opposite Tutmari Gali and Rampur Sectors. Own troops responded effectively with appropriate small arms fire.”
Meanwhile, intelligence agencies have zeroed in on 14 terrorists who are currently active in Kashmir. Among them, eight belong to Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), while three each are linked to Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) and Hizbul Mujahideen (HM), according to officials familiar with the matter.
Meanwhile, Kashmir on Sunday (April 27, 2025) witnessed growing opposition from several regional parties to the ongoing demolition drive of houses of terrorists, as 10 buildings were dismantled in controlled blasts by security forces.
While Pakistan wants to involve Russia and China in investigating the Pahalgam attack, the US State Department on Sunday said that Washington was in touch with both India and Pakistan and urged them to work towards what it called a “responsible solution” as tensions have risen between the two Asian nations following a recent Islamist militant attack in Kashmir, Reuters reported.
