Pakistan–Saudi Arabia Relations: Giving a new dimension to their relationship, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have signed an agreement similar to that of NATO countries. Under this agreement, an attack on any one of the two countries will be considered an attack on both countries. Under the agreement, both the countries will fight together against the enemy country. This agreement has been called “Strategic Mutual Defence Deal”. The aim of this agreement, signed during Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s visit to Riyadh, is to increase defence cooperation and strengthen regional and global peace.

The agreement was reached during Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s visit to Saudi Arabia. It also clearly stated that aggression against either country will be considered aggression against both. The agreement emphasizes further strengthening defense cooperation, developing joint deterrence capabilities, and defending against any potential attack.
