Jeddah: The 12th flight carrying 231 stranded Indian evacuees departed from Jeddah on a Mumbai-bound flight today morning. Committed to ensure that no Indian national is left behind in Sudan, Indian began Operation Kaveri on April 24 and deployed its warships and military planes in the worn-torn nation.

“12th outbound flight departs from Jeddah. 231 passengers are heading to Mumbai”, tweeted Arindam Bagchi, spokesperson, Ministry of External Affairs.

Earlier on Tuesday, 328 passengers landed in New Delhi and External Affairs Minister, Dr. S Jaishankar tweeted to give the information. “328 more passengers have landed in new Delhi. Operation Kaveri moving steadily forward as around 3000 have reached India now”, tweeted the minister.

Separately, Arindam Bagchi tweeted that a group of 20 Indians crossed over to Chad through the adjoining land border with Sudan.
