Hours after reports of an Indian citizen being killed in an Iranian missile attack on a residential area in Saudi Arabia, the Indian Embassy has given a major update. The Indian Embassy in Saudi Arabia has said that no Indian citizen was killed in the unfortunate incident that took place in Al Kharj on Friday evening. Giving information on social media, the Embassy said that it is a matter of relief that no Indian lives were lost in the incident. The Embassy said that it is in constant touch with the concerned Saudi authorities in this matter.
Counselor (CW) Y. Sabir arrived in Al Kharj on Friday night following the incident and met with the injured Indian national. According to the embassy, the injured Indian national is currently undergoing treatment at a government hospital in Al Kharj and his condition is being monitored.
The Indian Embassy has denied reports that an Indian citizen was killed in a bombing by Iran of a residential area in Saudi Arabia. The Indian citizen was injured in the attack.
Earlier on Sunday, a Saudi civil defense official had said that an Indian and a Bangladeshi national were among the two people killed in the incident in Al-Kharj city. However, the Indian Embassy in Riyadh has now clarified the situation in a post on X. They said in their post, “It is a matter of relief that no Indian was killed in the unfortunate incident that occurred in Al-Kharj yesterday evening.”
