Kathmandu: People have been looking forward to climbing Mount Everest and setting up their records, and the Nepal Government has finally given the permit. The Spring climbing season is now here, and many inexperienced climbers are also heading toward Mount Everest from the deadliest zone.

In 2019, many people were present in this zone, most of whom were inexperienced climbers, so nine people lost their lives up on the hill. If anyone is looking forward to climbing Mount Everest, they can take a permit from Nepal Government, which will cost them 11 thousand US dollars.

Till now, over 463 permits have been given by the Nepal Government from March 2023. This has broken the previous record of 2021, which was 409. Madison Mountaineering Company’s Garrett Madison said that “The challenges with more climbers on the mountain will be potential traffic jams on the climbing route, especially if the weather windows are few and far between.”

He even said that the climbers would not have much oxygen, and it won’t be easy to survive if the supplementary oxygen wasn’t enough. It was also mentioned that the Hillary Step, a 12-meter rock, can be the death zone.
