Shortly after Musk hinted at the arrival of a new CEO for Twitter.Inc, the microblogging site flooded with memes. Musk took to Twitter to announce that he’s found a new CEO for the company who will be joining in six weeks. He did not reveal the person’s identity though.
As per reports, NBCUniversal executive Linda Yaccarino is the new leader of the microblogging platform.
Yaccarino currently serves as the chairman of global advertising and partnerships at NBCUniversal Media – a multinational mass media and entertainment conglomerate corporation. She is responsible for overseeing and monetizing the company’s various media platforms, including linear TV networks, digital and streaming services, and distribution partnerships. Her work role includes managing global, national, and local advertising sales, as well as marketing, ad technology, data, measurement, commerce, and strategic initiatives. She is associated with NBCUniversal since 2011.
Ever since the takeover, Twitter has been facing numerous challenges, including issues with its revenue and monetization. It remains to be seen who the new CEO of Twitter is and what plans she has for the company.
In December last year, Musk who took over the platform for $44 billion had mentioned that he would serve as the CEO only for a limited time.
