Delhi : Officials from the Delhi Police Economic Offences Wing stated today that a 43-year-old man was detained for allegedly being a part of a racket that misled over 40 people under the guise of securing them jobs in the Railways. Mohammad Raghib Firoz, a Greater Noida resident, has a master’s degree in psychology and a certification in media and public communication. According to investigators, he oversaw all aspects of the racket, including collecting money from victims, filling out numerous documents for appointment and training, and other minor tasks related to the economic crime. Brij Kishore and Sachin Kumar were arrested earlier in the case, they said.
The defendants allegedly defrauded roughly 40 job seekers out of Rs 2.44 crore. The majority of the casualties are poor families from villages near Agra, Hathras, and Patna. One of the defendants pretended to be an IAS officer and told the victims he had a good relationship with the Railway Board, while others set up telephonic job training sessions for them.
To acquire their trust, fraudulent appointment and training letters were sent out, fake medical examinations were performed, and three months of job training was organised in Dehradun, according to Additional Commissioner of Police R K Singh (Economic Offences Wing).
