Liverpool Car Accident: People celebrating the victory of the English Premier League in Liverpool city of Britain were in mourning when a speeding car entered the victory parade. The car driver crushed many people. No one died in the accident. However, more than 50 people were injured. 27 of them have been admitted to the hospital, while 23 were treated at the spot itself. The 53-year-old accused has been arrested. At present, the police have refused to accept it as a terrorist incident. However, many people are calling it a terrorist incident in hushed tones.
In fact, the current season of England’s top football league (Premier League) ended on Sunday. On the last day i.e. in the 38th round, 10 matches were played, out of which 8 results were decided and two were tied. In the 2024-25 season, Liverpool became the champion with 84 points while Arsenal (74) finished in second place.
To celebrate the victory of the Liverpool team, a victory parade was taken out in the city of Liverpool on Monday evening at around 6 pm local time. More than 10,000 football lovers participated in the victory parade. As soon as the victory parade reached Water Street, a speeding car entered the crowd. Many people tried to stop it. Despite this, the car driver drove the car at high speed among the crowd. The car driver hit many people and moved ahead. A total of 50 people were injured in the incident, including four children. Merseyside Police took immediate action and arrested the car driver, who has been identified as a 53-year-old white British man.
According to Merseyside Police, the Liverpool car accident incident is not related to terrorism. Constable Jenny Sims said on the matter that this appears to be an isolated incident and we are not looking for anyone else in connection with it. It is not being seen as terrorism. The police further said that this matter is related to a road accident. It is being investigated and efforts are being made to collect the necessary evidence. The video related to the incident is also becoming very viral on social media platforms, in which it can be clearly seen that a black car enters the middle of the crowd and moves forward pushing people. During this, many people are crushed under the car.
